Hawkeyes young, looking to get back to Big Ten Tournament
The Gazette, a newspaper serving eastern Iowa out of Cedar Rapids, featured an Iowa program that head coach Jack Dahm says is seeking to have a chip on its shoulder.
As the Gazette quotes Damh “we’ve got some talent, it’s young talent, and I think it’s time we can do some things here”, the Daily Iowan has a notebook on the program that has a roster of players that were yet born when the Hawkeyes last made the NCAA Tournament, 1990, that includes an update on the health of senior catcher Dan Sheppard.
Corn Nation predicts the Big Ten
The SB Nation blog dedicated to Nebraska, has provided a projection of the Big Ten.
Tabbing their Cornhuskers to share the Big Ten championship with Ohio State, the projected standings feature eight teams that finish .500 or better.
Wolverines visit veterans
AnnArbor.com highlighted the Michigan baseball program’s visit to the Veteran’s Affairs Ann Arbor Medical Center on Monday.
The visit was part of the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System National Salute to Veterans Week, which annually is scheduled for the week of Valentine’s Day.

Both have only one team making the NCAA Tournament, with the Hoosiers the recipient of the Big Ten’s automatic according to the publication and Michigan State winning the Big Ten Tournament according the baseball blog.
